Now: an introduction

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
(John 10:10 ESV)

Have you ever noticed that when we are hurting or when we are happy it is always right now?  The type of life that is promised by our Lord can be translated super abundant (in quantity) or superior (in quality). We look in vain to find it in the past or in the future. If the Christian is ever to experience the abundant life that Jesus promised, it must be experienced Now.

We only experience life in the moment, “now.”  Every joy or sorrow experienced in the past,  experienced in the future, or experienced in the present , is experienced in the “now” of our lives.  The past exists only in our memories, our “then”.  The future exists only in our imagination, our “when”. The present exists now. We are what we are or what we do now: we are loving now or we are not,  we are forgiving now or we are not, we are having faith now or we are not.   We experience abundant life now in what we do and how we react to what is around us.  “Now” you decide whether or not to continue reading this study. What you decide now will effect your “then” and “when.” The choice is always yours.

It is my hope that you will find and experience the life that is your birthright in Christ.  May God bless you as you seek to have a life worth living.
